Novartis India shares on Friday snapped a nine-day rally to fall over 1 percent amid profit booking.
Shares of the company were quoted at Rs 2,400 per share on the NSE, down 1.16 percent, at around 2 pm.
Earlier in the trade, the stock touched a high of Rs 2,550, rising 5 percent.
During the nine-day rally since August 31, the stock gained 52 percent.
The sharp buying momentum emerged after September 7, when the company informed the shareholders through an exchange filing about the acquisition of the trademarks "Minipress" and "Minipres" from Pfizer Inc USA and Pfizer Products Inc USA.
