Wall Street futures rose on Friday as oil prices eased, while investors awaited the consumer inflation report for signs of a positive end to a difficult week.

At 4 pm IST, Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.65 percent, while S&P 500 futures advanced 0.57 percent. Dow futures were up 0.56 percent.

The rise in futures came after Brent crude came under selling pressure and was last down nearly 2 percent at USD 105.90 a barrel. It touched a four-month high of USD 109.97 a barrel following a 6 percent jump a day earlier. It was still set for a weekly gain of about 10 percent.

Brent crude futures slipped more than 3 percent but remained above USD 104 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 2.6 percent but stayed close to the USD 100-a-barrel mark.

Meanwhile, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury note dipped 0.16 basis points but remained at 4.9424 percent, its highest level since 2023. High Treasury yields reduce the appeal of stocks.
