Goldman Sachs has appointed Farshid Asl and Matt Weir as co-heads of its Investment Strategy Group (ISG), according to an internal memo seen by Private Banker International.

Within Goldman Sachs Wealth Management, the Investment Strategy Group serves as the chief investment office, guiding asset allocation and portfolio strategy for private clients around the world.

Asl currently leads Strategic and Quantitative Asset Allocation globally within the group, while Weir is a senior member of ISG with a principal focus on equity markets.

The memo said the pair bring "complementary expertise, deep market experience, and proven leadership" to their new roles.
