HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd (TSX:HIVE, NASDAQ:HIVE, FRA:YO0, BVC:HIVECO) has appointed Mark Volk as senior vice president, revenue at its subsidiary BUZZ High Performance Computing, as the company said combined revenue from hashrate services and GPU cloud services has surpassed $1 million per day.
In the new role, Volk will lead BUZZ HPC's global go-to-market strategy across enterprise, government, sovereign AI, hyperscale, research and academic markets, overseeing commercialization of the company's GPU-powered AI infrastructure, including sovereign AI cloud, GPU-as-a-Service, colocation and hybrid AI solutions.
Volk brings nearly three decades of experience building and commercializing AI, HPC, cloud and enterprise infrastructure businesses, most recently as CEO of CiphexAI Corporation, and previously spent five years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, including as general manager of HPC & AI commercial for the Americas.
"AI needs compute. Compute needs power. And power needs infrastructure," said Frank Holmes, executive chairman of HIVE Digital Technologies. "HIVE has spent years building all three. Now we are building the team to scale it."
