Resilient first-half results: Revenue rose 0.2% to £258 million, while adjusted operating profit increased 3.8% to £29.8 million and the margin improved to 11.6%. Earnings per share climbed 8.7% to 5 pence, supported by pricing, efficiency gains and cost control.
Mixed divisional performance: Workwear organic revenue grew 2.6%, while HORECA organic revenue fell 2% as hospitality customers reduced volumes. Despite weaker HORECA trading, both divisions improved operating margins, and the company added more than £5 million of annualized HORECA contracts.
Positive outlook and shareholder returns: Management remains on track for another year of progress and its 2026 adjusted operating margin target of at least 14%. The interim dividend rose 12.5% to 1.8 pence per share, while the £55 million buyback was more than half complete by the end of August.
