SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Maybe there is a public embrace to be had by dueling executives Vlad Tenev and Adam Aron.
"I'm open to it, you know, I love debates. I'm open to many things," Robinhood (HOOD) co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev told Yahoo Finance from the Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Tech Conference (video above).
A fierce public war of words erupted on X between AMC Entertainment (AMC) CEO Adam Aron (known as the "Silverback" on X) and Tenev over the brokerage's extensive use of stock tokens that track AMC shares.
Aron ignited the dispute by blasting tokenization — the practice of issuing digital versions of assets, such as stocks, on a blockchain network — as "contemptible," "vile," and "disgusting," demanding a cease-and-desist order while threatening legal action.
