Indian equity indices snapped three-day fall and ended higher in the rangebound trade on September 10, with the Nifty managing to close above the 23,400 mark amid buying seen in the media and financial names.
After a muted start, the market remained rangebound through the session as investors stayed cautious amid elevated crude oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Sentiment also remained subdued ahead of key US inflation data, however, final hour buying helped to erase all the day's losses to close in positive territory.
At close, the Sensex was up 138.36 points or 0.19 percent at 74,902.59, and the Nifty was up 46.30 points or 0.20 percent at 23,477.80.
