Adani Enterprises shares rose in morning trade on Wednesday, bucking weak broader markets, after its airport subsidiary signed a shareholders’ agreement with a clutch of marquee global investors to raise funds. The investors include BlackRock, Temasek, Premji Invest and Alpha Wave, for the sale of up to a 5.54 percent stake.
The Adani Enterprises stock was up 1.45 percent at Rs 2,996 in morning trade, beating a sharp decline in the broader market. At 9:25 am, the Sensex was down 516 points, or 0.68 percent, at 75,061.90, while the Nifty 50 declined 0.51 percent to 23,513.40.
Adani Enterprises shares have gained around 32.5 percent so far in 2026, sharply outperforming the Nifty 50, which has fallen about 10 percent over the same period. The flagship Adani Group company's market capitalisation stood at around Rs 4.05 lakh crore.
In a regulatory filing on September 9, Adani Enterprises said it had entered into a shareholders’ agreement with wholly owned subsidiary Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) and identified investors for raising funds through the issuance of equity shares by AAHL. The investors will acquire a stake of up to 5.54 percent in the airport operator.
