Redington shares rose up to 5.5% on September 10 after Apple raised the prices of several iPhone models in India, with the iPhone 17 now starting at Rs 99,900, up from Rs 82,900 earlier, while the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are priced significantly higher than their iPhone 17 Pro counterparts. The company has also entered the foldable smartphone segment with the iPhone Duo, which starts at Rs 2,99,900.

The 256 GB iPhone 17 now costs Rs 99,900, a Rs 17,000 or 20.5% increase from Rs 82,900. The 512 GB variant is priced at Rs 1,24,900, up Rs 22,000 or 21.4% from Rs 1,02,900.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900, compared with Rs 1,34,900 for the iPhone 17 Pro, marking a 22% increase. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900, up 20% from Rs 1,49,900 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The price increase for Apple's Pro models in India is considerably higher than in several other major markets. In the US, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, up 9% from $1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro, while the Pro Max starts at $1,299, an 8% increase. China sees increases of 11% and 10%, respectively, while the UK records 9% and 8%. Japan sees increases of 22% for the Pro and 23% for the Pro Max.
